Who we are

What data we keep and what for

The legal basis is your consent, given in the box or by sending each form. We also store where the visit came from (for example, which website or campaign) with the form, to see which channels work. We never sell your data. We only share it with a professional if you ask us for a quote and give your consent at that moment.
Who helps us process the data
We use providers that process data on our behalf: Resend, to send the emails; and Cloudflare, to host the site and store the forms. Some may process data outside the European Union, with the safeguards required by the GDPR and the UK GDPR.
Audience measurement
We count visits and interactions (for example, how many people use the calculator or open a plan) without cookies and without identifying anyone. This does not need your permission.
Session recordings and heatmaps (only with your permission)
If you click “Accept” in the cookie notice, we use Contentsquare (Contentsquare SAS, France) to see heatmaps and pseudonymised session recordings: where you click, how far you scroll and where you give up. It is only used to improve the site. Contentsquare sets its own cookies (_cs_id, _cs_s, _cs_c) that last up to 13 months, hides the fields you fill in and your email in the recordings, and we do not link this data to your name or email. If you click “Decline”, the script is not loaded at all. You can change your mind at any time with the “Cookies” link at the bottom of the page.
Your rights
You can ask for access to, correction or deletion of your data, object to processing, ask for it to be restricted or ported, or withdraw your consent, at any time, by writing to [email protected]. If you think we have not handled your data properly, you can complain to the data protection authority of your country; in the UK, the Information Commissioner’s Office (ico.org.uk); in Portugal, where we are based, the Comissão Nacional de Proteção de Dados (cnpd.pt).
How we make money
Contentar is paid for by the people who use it, not by the people listed on it:
- The Contentar guide, with planning step by step, hidden costs, the material lists and the plans. The UK edition is in preparation and not on sale yet.
- Quote requests: when you ask us for professionals’ contacts and agree, we may charge the professional for that request. We always tell you when that is the case.
The list of professionals and suppliers on the site is independent: nobody paid to be listed. If there are ever paid highlights, they will be marked as “Sponsored”. Links to shops (IKEA and others) do not earn us a commission.
Images
The pictures of the houses are illustrations generated with artificial intelligence. They do not show real builds.
Estimates
The calculator and plan figures are indicative estimates, in pounds, with VAT at 20% and a ±15% margin, without land. They are not a substitute for a quote, an architect, the council or building control.
