Who we are

What data we keep and what for

The legal basis is your consent, given in the box or by sending each form. For a purchase, the legal basis is the contract and our tax obligations. We also store where the visit came from (for example, which website or campaign) with the form, to see which channels work. We never sell your data. We only share it with a professional if you ask us for a quote and give your consent at that moment.
Who helps us process the data
We use providers that process data on our behalf: Stripe, for payment (Contentar never sees your card details); Resend, to send the emails; and Cloudflare, to host the site and store the forms. Some may process data outside the European Union, with the safeguards required by the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR).
Audience measurement without cookies
We use Plausible Analytics, which counts visits and interactions (for example, how many people use the calculator or open a plan) without cookies and without identifying anyone. That is why you do not see a cookie banner. The data is stored on servers in the European Union.
Your rights
You can ask for access to, correction or deletion of your data, object to processing, ask for it to be restricted or ported, or withdraw your consent, at any time, by writing to [email protected]. If you think we have not handled your data properly, you can complain to the data protection authority of your country; in Spain, the Agencia Española de Protección de Datos (aepd.es); in the UK, the Information Commissioner’s Office (ico.org.uk).
How we make money
Contentar is paid for by the people who use it, not by the people listed on it:
- The Contentar guide, sold for €19, with permits step by step, hidden costs, the material lists in Excel and the plans.
- Quote requests: when you ask us for professionals’ contacts and agree, we may charge the professional for that request. We always tell you when that is the case.
The list of professionals and suppliers on the site is independent: nobody paid to be listed. If there are ever paid highlights, they will be marked as “Sponsored”. Links to shops (IKEA, Leroy Merlin and others) do not earn us a commission.
Estimates
The calculator and plan figures are indicative estimates, with IVA (VAT) at 21% and a ±15% margin, without land. They do not cover Canarias, Ceuta or Melilla. They are not a substitute for a quote, an architect’s project or the information from your ayuntamiento (town hall).
